Situated in the spectacular valley an hour from Cape Town, Franschhoek is the ultimate South African wine culture experience. With thanks to the French Hugenouts who started this small town over 300 years ago, bringing their vines with them. With the focus on gastronomic excellence, art galleries, beautiful guesthouses and friendly people, you'll think you'd died and gone to heaven.. La Grange de Cabrieré was one of the original farms in Franschhoek, situated along the river, 400m from the centre of town. The house overlooks plum orchards, vineyards and the panoramic mountain scape.

Over the river from our farm is Richard Branson' s Mont Rochelle that offers horse riding tours.
Leisure Activities
Enjoy a spa treatment at any of the numerous spa's in the village. We recommend Leeu Spa.
Mountain Adventures
If you are into mountain walking, hiking or cycling, there is a large array of trails at the local nature reserve.
Market Tour
Apart from the lovely local shops on the main road, there is a cute Saturday market near the town church.

It was simply perfect, the location was exactly what we wanted and so easy to access the high street and other estates. The decor was beautiful, with amazing views and we were lucky with the weather as we managed to get in a few hours of pool time. We had a braai on one of the nights and it was great that everything was all set up for it. My wife and our friends loved the decor and Promise was the perfect balance of being present but also giving us space. The fact that we could pre order from Woolworths and have delivered to the house was just brilliant and gave us another few hours of just enjoying the sun and the views. There aren't enough adjectives to describe just how perfect the property was and just how easy it was to facilitate the booking with you. "
